Discounts for seniors are pretty much available anywhere you buy something but you have to know where to look to find them. Most of the time all you have to do is ask the company and they’ll provide you with a discount to help with the cost of what you’re purchasing. This rings true with retailers, your favorite place to eat, movie theaters, hotels, cruises, and more.
1. Discounts On Eating Out
Popular chain restaurants are known for their quick, and casual meals that can be found on almost any street corner in America. The only problem is, even these “inexpensive” meals can get quite costly for someone on a fixed income. That’s why it’s good to know some of America’s favorite chains offer discounts to seniors:
Applebees – They offer 10% off your bill if you’re 60 years or older, but you have to ask for this. (we’ve been told only certain locations participate, so call before you go to find out)
Denny’s – This favorite all-day breakfast spot offers 20% off as long as you have your AARP card on you.
Arby’s – Here you can get 10% off as long as you’re over 55-years-old
Chic-fil-A – customers who are 55 and older can get a free small drink or a coffee PLUS 10% off
White Castle – if you’re 62-years or older you’re eligible for a discount of 10%
Arby’s– Offers 10% off if you’re 55 and older
Burger King – 10% discount for anyone 60 and older
