Al Sharpton Comes Out Of Hiding To Break His Silence, Leaves People Justifiably Outraged

Updated October 12, 2017

ESPN presenter Jemele Hill is burning some bridges with her pals in the NFL. She was recently suspended from her job after she asked fans to boycott the Dallas Cowboys after the team owner, Jerry Jones, made it clear that players who refused to stand for the national anthem would be benched.

But there is one person who is standing by her side and that is someone who has been known for voicing his opinions. The famous race-baiter and riot-inciter, Al Sharpton came out of the woodwork battling for Hill after he found out she was suspended.

This isn’t the first time that Sharpton caused a stir on air, as he recently stated that he believed that President Trump was a white supremacist.

In response to Hill’s tweet requesting the support of fans to boycott the team, the NFL made the following statement…

“Jemele Hill has been suspended for two weeks for a second violation of our social media guidelines. She previously acknowledged letting her colleagues and company down with an impulsive tweet. In the aftermath, all employees were reminded of how individual tweets may reflect negatively on ESPN and that such actions would have consequences,” the statement continued. “Hence this decision.”

When you work for an organization, it’s kind of a given that you support their product. In this case, Hill, represents ESPN and the NFL, so it’s pretty disrespectful for her to try and sway fans from going to the games, which is the biggest money-maker for the league. Fans are what make the NFL and without them, these games and players wouldn’t even exist, so it’s safe to say that she made a poor decision to bash the Dallas Cowboys.

Some believe that Hill deserves to be fired and they are comparing her lack of loyalty to someone who worked at any other place. For example, if a McDonalds’ employee started protesting hamburgers in the store, there is a good chance that employee would be fired. The same goes for a person who works in a bookstore. If that employee started trash talking the best selling novels then they’d probably get a talking to.

Some are assuming that the fuss that Al Sharpton started has a lot to do with race-based politics and nothing more since that is what he is known for.

“ESPN is paying a really big price for its politics (and bad programming). People are dumping it in RECORD numbers. Apologize for untruth!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

Commenters weighed in on the issue and there wasn’t a lot who sided with Sharpton…

“Everybody should know by now that nothing a black person says can be racist. Only whites can be racist and any color of police.”
“Al Sharpton is obviously a complete imbecile and is a part of the pathetic democrat party who are willing to shut down the U.S. Gov. in order to give health benefits to illegals!!!..he’s an idiot.”
“Where does HE get off giving demands…..Who cares what this unimportant race hater has to say!!”
