Dashcam Captures Moment This Driver Gets Revenge On The Motorcycle Taunting Him

Road rage is a serious problem. It puts innocent people’s lives in danger. According to data compiled from NHTSA and Auto Vantage data, about 66 percent of traffic deaths are related to aggressive driving. And 37 percent of aggressive driving incidents involve a firearm. With nearly four of ten aggressive incidents on the roads punctuated with gunshots, you should be worried when you witness road rage unfolding around you. Bullets could be flying according to these statistics.

But in Florida, one motorist and a motorcyclist took things too far and nearly ended in a fatality. A bystander had a dashboard camera rolling as the incident happened. And the real incident begins before the murder attempt.

Because a car driver grew furious with a motorcyclist, he decided to take aggressive revenge on the stranger on the bike. The dispute took things way too far. And the Florida driver chose to smash his vehicle into the motorcyclist, which threw him to the curb and nearly killed him.

After striking the biker with his vehicle, the Florida attempted murderer then tried to flee the scene. Thankfully the Good Samaritan had their dashboard camera rolling. This bystander passed the footage over to the police who watched the road rage incident unfold on Beneva Road in Sarasota, Florida.

The aggressor was in a gray Mazda 3 hatchback and used his vehicle as a deadly weapon.

Although the motorcyclist was ultimately the victim, he provoked the attack. He changed lanes and drove alongside the Mazda. Then the biker and the motorist get into a heated argument.

The motorcyclist then strikes the window of the Mazda. Because of that, the driver swerves the car and smashes his hatchback into the motorcyclist trying to kill him. The biker loses control of his ride and falls to the sidewalk.

Unfortunately, Sarasota police have failed to catch the hit and run driver and attempted murder. They are on the hunt for the Mazda driver. So the Sarasota County Sheriff’s office is asking the public to help them hunt down the attempted killer. They have asked the public to contact the Criminal Investigations Section at 941.861.4317 if they have any information about the driver who committed the act of violence.

The dashboard camera footage is the main evidence the police have to go with. They have used it to identify the Mazda as a gray color and also that it has a large white decal on the back window.

A few days after the story broke, Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Magdiel Medrano-Bonilla.

The victim in the road rage attack was biker Darin Hendrickson. He claimed hat Medrano-Bonilla, the driver of the hatchback, threw a metal object at his motorcycle and damaged it. This projectile caused Hendrickson to retaliate. He began to argue then started striking the passenger side window of the Mazda.

The road rage attack resulted in severe injuries to Hendrickson. Doctors put staples in his leg and treated lung and rib injuries.

Although the Sheriff’s did not charge Medrano-Bonilla with attempted murder, he has been charged with operating a vehicle without a license and aggravated battery.
