Even The Biggest Doubters Believe In Ghosts After Seeing Photo From America’s Most Haunted Hotel

Updated October 16, 2017

The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado often make a reservation just to see if they can get a glimpse of the supernatural guests that are often said to inhabit the place. This hotel has been around for 108 years, so with this level of history, it is no surprise that there might be a few otherworldly occupants hanging around the establishment.

If you have ever watched the movie or read the book called “The Shining” you got a glimpse of what might be happening at this haunted hotel. It is said that the story, written by Stephen King, was inspired by this hotel.

If you want to see what the hotel has to offer, you can sign up for a spirit tour of the place. Now, this does not mean that you are going to experience any haunted events, but one family that took the tour said that they might have had a ghostly tour partner and they did not even realize it.

You have surely heard that a photo is worth a thousand words and the Mausling family might have proven that this also extends to the realm of the dead. While they were at the hotel taking the tour, naturally, they snapped a lot of great photos. They did not see anything supernatural as they made their way throughout the building, but their photos tell another story.

Question of the week: If you could take a vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be?

In one of the pictures they took, the area near the staircase appears to have the ghost of a little girl. You can see this figure by looking toward the lower right hand corner of the photo.

Some critics said that it was probably just a young girl who was on the tour, but the Mauslings said that no children that young were a part of the tour. The family tried to first approach the scary photo by thinking logically. They then showed the photo to as many people as they could to get other opinions about whether that was truly a ghost in the picture. Mausling reports that when he took the photo, there was no one on the stairs.

Another reason to trust that this is an actual ghost that Mausling captured is because former FBI agent, Ben Hansen, states that by looking at the photo, it appears that it is completely authentic. No editing seems to have been done. So, there is a good chance that the Mauslings indeed caught a photo of a ghost in the hotel.

Hansen said that if the couple faked this photo, their skills are incredible and the best he has ever seen. Based on this, he feels it is definitely not a hoax. When the Mauslings were looking at the photo again, they also think that they see more than one ghost on the stairs. With one, you are not able to see the other half, so it looks almost like the upper body of a ghost just floating up and down the staircase without any legs.

Do you believe in ghosts?
