For years people have suspected that Marilyn Monroe had an affair with her “Let’s Make Love” Co-star Yves Montand. She was married to the writer Arthur Miller at the time. But up until now, no one has had proof about the affair. Newly leaked photos that were previously unpublished show the sex symbol and actress pregnant with Montand’s child. The images, which show the starlet, in the city, smiling were sold from the estate of Marilyn’s close friend and confidant, Frieda Hull. The images were bought for a stagger $2,240. But if the collectors had known that Hull called the images “the pregnant slides,” they probably would have fetched ten times that much money in auction – or more.

The images were supposedly taken on July 8, 1960. Marilyn is shown outside of Fox Studios in New York City after running screen tests for “Let’s Make Love.”

“Frieda was very proud of those slides and she was very proud to keep them a secret until the day she died,” Michaels told the Daily Mail. “But she told me the story behind them, that Marilyn got pregnant by Yves Montand. It wasn’t a guess or a presumption, it was something she knew for sure. She was very close to Marilyn.”

View the images below and you’ll see Marilyn Monroe clearly has a baby bump. And with Hull’s testimony, it seems quite certain that the actress went behind her husband’s back and got pregnant by her co-star Montand.

The man who bought the images, Tony Michaels, was a close friend to Hull and a neighbor. Hull knew everything about Monroe because she was the person who the actress whispered all her secrets to. And years later, after her death, Hull told Michaels that Monroe had gotten pregnant from her love affair with Montand, who had also been married at the time. And the only reason Monroe kept the pregnancy secret was because she “lost” the baby at the hospital.

Throughout her life, Monroe suffered from endometriosis. This made it hard for her to conceive and carry a baby. As a result, she had three miscarriages. These were widely reported because she was such a popular star.

Despite the difficult, Monroe always wanted to have a baby.

One miscarriage, an ectopic pregnancy, sent her to the emergency room where she needed surgery in 1957. All three miscarriages – that were widely reported – came from her husband at the time. This secret pregnancy would have made her fourth.

“She just told me Marilyn was pregnant in those photos and I believed her,” Michaels explained of Hull. Because Hull had photos and stories of the actress, she could have sold them for a lot of money. Instead she decided to preserve Monroe’s legacy after her death as a trusted confidant should.

“I don’t think she’d tell me that on a hunch — she knew. Frieda believed that it wasn’t exhaustion that landed her in hospital, she said it was a nervous breakdown and she lost her baby.”
