But now that you’re here, I want to give you the opportunity to relax and be swept away by the Navy’s official chorus group, The Sea Chanters.

Back in 1956, the Seat Chanters were officially created. The officers wanted a way to boost morale and keep the Navy personnel’s spirits high in challenging times.
In the video below, you’ll hear the Sea Chanters comically introduced as “The Jersey Boys” at the 2014 U.S. Memorial performance. But they don’t stop there as these sailors go on to impress the massive crowd – and now all viewers watching them on YouTube at home.
The Sea Chanters go on to cover hits like The Four Seasons “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “Walk Like a Man”. As you listen to these Military men sing their hearts out, you’ll have even more respect for Navy sailors than you did a few minutes ago.

After the M.C. introduces the singers, the camera pans to the group of Navy men who have their back turned to the audience as they clap along to the beat. Then moments into the short introduction, the man on the right steps out on stage and begins leading the first song from “The Jersey Boys”.
