Are you one of those people who loves to eat raw seafood? Perhaps, you’re one of the first people to get to the happy hours where they sell oysters for one dollar a pop. Or maybe you’re a fan of fried clam cakes or scallops.

If you’re a lover of seafood, then you’re going to love watching this how-to video. Razo clams are common along the shores of many places around the globe. In the video below, one man is fishing for these critters on the south coast of the United Kingdom.

Once you get to their habitat, hunting for razor clams is not really that hard. You just need a jug of table salt and a whole lot of patience. If you’re willing to get your hands dirty and do some digging, you can have a feast tonight. Check out this video now!

When the clip begins, we see a man bending over to pour salt in a tiny hole that has popped up on the beach. This whole is an air hole that the razor clams uses when the tide goes out. The fisherman has been trained to look for these holes and then ambush the poor creatures before they can do anything about it.

These strange crustaceans are burrowed deep under the surface of the sand. To get them out, you pour salt on top of the hole. This drives the clam out of his home and forces it to look for a safer environment.

As you see, the man does exactly that. After a few seconds of salt saturation, the razor clam pokes its appendage out of the sand. This is when the fisherman strikes. He grabs the razor clam tightly then slowly pulls it from the sand.

When he pulls out the razor clam, he pulls it out and then washes it in the water. This strange-looking sea creature is a delicacy in some cultures.

Many people are freaked out by how these clams look. Are you?

More than 40 million people have watched this short clip. Thousands have shared comments. Here are a few of the most popular:

“Creepy little things really, If I seen one of them pop out, I’d try and find Sigourney Weaver to eliminate it,” shared Luke7ube.

“Due to this video getting [40] million views Razor Clams are now extinct,” shared Freedog13.

“So in in order to catch this fish, you need to pour salt on beach salt. Then on top of that salt on salt, you have to pour water, which contains salt (Anybody notices the asyndeton?). Isn’t living inside salt enough for the fish to get the **** out? Or am I just not seeing something here?”

“the tide was down, pouring the salt and water made the clam think tide was up, so it left to get back into the ocean,” suggested one viewer.

What do you think about this unique fishing method? Have you ever eaten a razor clam before?
