Dramatic CCTV footage shows a Chinese railway worker saving a suicidal woman from a gruesome fate. It is not for the faint of heart because this woman comes within a hair of death. However, in the end, the heroic railway worker does the right thing and pulls her back to safety. You need to watch this footage to see the moment unfolding before your eyes…
The scary incident occurred on May 10 in Putian, which is located in China’s Fujian province. The surveillance cameras caught the entire display of action. You can watch it all happen below.
In the clip, you’ll see the moment the woman sticks herself out in front of a passing train. If that worker hadn’t come in just the right moment, she would have been done for. But he was in the right place at the right time and did the right thing. He pulled that suicidal woman back to safety and helped give her a second chance at life.
Although he did the right thing, the rescue was not easy. The woman did not come easily and the man had to use all his power to save her from the oncoming train. Chinese news sources claim that the railway worker experienced a head injury as he pulled the woman back onto the platform.
In the short clip, you’ll watch the drama happen. The railway worker sees a female student running out toward the train. He chases after her. His instinct is to help save her from the physical onslaught of the massive train.
He grabs onto her clothing. Just when she is about to get out onto the track, he pulls with all his might and yanks her back to safety. While on the dirty train platform floor, he continues to drag her backwards and away from the speeding train.
Once the railway worker had stopped the young college student, two other bystanders rushed over to help.
Readers have shared praise for the courageous railway worker who went above and beyond his job description to save this young woman’s life.
“Give the man a medal!” one man urged.
“He was fortunate that this worked out. She could have dragged him in front of that train with her,” another shared.
Unfortunately, moments like this happen far too frequently. Pressures of life combined with clinical depression can make people feel suicidal and think suicidal thoughts. For their loved ones, this is a horrifying realization. No one wants to believe that the people they love do not love themselves.
While ending it all might seem like a solution for those that are suicidal, it is not. When someone is still alive, there is always hope for a better tomorrow. Although things might not seem like they’ll change, they always do. Change happens faster than you can expect.
