When Hillary Clinton lost the election on Tuesday, Hollywood, Wall Street, and entertainers all over the country were at a loss of words. The stock market futures dropped lower than they did after the terrorist attacks on September 11.
MSNBC reported “Cher is in tears”, “Lady Gaga in tears”, and countless other performers, lining up to celebrate on the Clinton stage in the expected victory were forced to face the reality that American is not as socially progressive as they thought. Even Katy Perry, who performed during the Superbowl last year, was so upset, she could not continue her performance and sing the National Anthem.
Now Miley Cyrus is jumping up on her soapbox to cry over losing. She is the wild child known for fighting for the “Free the Nipple” campaign and other socially liberal agendas. Before he won, Cyrus was one of the dozens of celebrities who vowed to abandon America if Trump won. But now that he claimed victory, she has changed her tune and fast.
Check out what she said in the video confession below!
The singer most well-known for her hit song “Wrecking Ball” admitted that she is sad but that will treat Donald Trump with “respect” and “accepts him” as the new president of the United States – she sure was quick to change allegiance and join the millions of Trump supporters who came out in droves on election day to cast their ballots.
Watch the video below to see the singer tearing up over Hillary’s loss. This is what she said:
“So probably like most people … well, maybe not, because given the result, maybe I really am different and maybe the people that I’m surrounded by think with open minds and open hearts like I do. And I do want to say that I’ve been very vocal for my support for everyone besides Donald Trump.
“I heavily supported Bernie and heavily supported Hillary and I still think that in her lifetime that she deserves to be the first female president. And [breaking down] that’s what makes me so sad…is that I just wish that she had that opportunity because she’s fought for so long and because I believe her when she says that she loves this country because that’s all she ever done—-she’s given her life to make it better.
“But, like, Donald Trump so ironically played after his speech, it says ‘you can’t always get what you want.’ And [unintellible] we adjust and accept everyone who they are and so Donald Trump, I accept you. And this hurts to say, but I even accept you as the president of the United States and that’s fine—that’s fine because I think now I want to be a hopeful hippie. And I want to be hopeful that you will step into—oh I just wish…
“And President Obama, Mr. Obama, I just want to thank you for everything you have done as president of the United States. [sobs] But please, please just treat people with love, treat people with compassion, treat people with respect and I will do the same for you.”
Do you think people will enjoy her message and also support Trump?
