Although Jack Robinson was taken from this earth at much too young an age, he was a bright soul and a loving person. A brain tumor stole this 4-year-old’s life away from his family back in April 2014. His parents and his twin brother and older sister still miss him dearly to this day. And his death left a huge hole in their lives and hearts. They still do not understand why God took him so young…
Though he is gone, he has not left their lives completely. They visit his gravesite frequently – and on the third anniversary of Jack’s death, his mother Marie Robinson made a special visit to his grave. It was near their home in Hampshire, England, and she brought some flowers.
After honoring her deceased son, Marie bent down toward the earth and prayed to God in heaven, saying “Please show mummy a sign.” What she filmed after that brought her to tears…
In the video Marie later shared on Facebook, she showed how a robin landed on the top of her son’s grave right after her prayer. But the beautiful bird was not done with this grieving mother yet. It next flew over to her and landed in Jack’s mother’s hand.
“He kept looking at me directly in my face and at one point he landed on my shoulder and nibbled me a couple of times. It brought me to tears. Taking it as a sign from Jack,” remembers Marie.
As she watched the bird, which was so full of life, all she could think about was Jack. The little bird reminded her of her lost son because it was so perky and full of life – just like Jack had been until the brain tumor took his life away.
Now that she knows Jack is with God, she can rest a bit easier. Plus, the cute robin is there to watch over her son’s grave.
