She Refused To Move Her Car From A “No Parking Zone” So Construction Workers Teach Her A Lesson

Traffic laws should be obeyed. If everyone followed them, then traffic would not get as backed up and people would be a lot less stressed. When drivers jockey for position and cut off others, they cause more problems on the road, risk getting into a crash, and slow down the flow of traffic. The same problem happens for people who don’t obey parking laws and block right of ways.

One woman decided to use her car as a blockade while construction workers were busy. Although she violated the law when she took the spot clearly labeled “No Parking,” she refused to leave it. Because she was rude and breaking the law, the hard-working people at the construction site decided to have some fun with her.

The construction worker shared his experience on Reddit. Along with his post, he shared a photo that has since gone viral. Apparently, the worker asked the woman in the “No Parking” spot to move so they could accept a lumber delivery. She refused.

He wrote:

“So this happened earlier today and was too perfect to not share with you guys. I work in construction as the foreman for a new house build. The location is kinda strange. The house is 250 feet up a hill via a footpath only. All of our materials have to come up this footpath by hand. It’s a pain in the *ss to carry manually, quite literally, an ENTIRE HOUSE up this hill. One of our saving graces is having the two parking spots on the street at the bottom of this hill marked with official ‘No Parking’ signs. Unfortunately, there is an elementary school about half a block away, and the parents of children seem to regularly (at least twice a day) think it’s okay to park in our spots.”

With the backstory established, the construction worker jumped to the meat of the issue.

“Now, I consider myself a reasonable person, so if someone is parked in the spots and we don’t have a delivery or a need to park a truck, I will let it go. If we need the spots and there’s someone parked there, however, I will ask them to move nicely, and most of the time they do so immediately. Until today.”

On this day, the rude woman refused to move and started a fight over the parking spot.

When the lumber delivery called to report they were almost there, the foreman found a car parked where it shouldn’t be. He nicely asks the female driver to leave.

“She scoffs at me and rudely states back, ‘I’ll just be a few minutes, and your truck isn’t here, take a chill pill dude.’ Before I can respond, a giant lumber truck comes around the corner, and I wave to him and then gesture toward him to the woman in the car who has now put her window back up to ignore me.

Eventually, he called the police.

“By the end of the ordeal, she was arrested, charged with Child Endangerment (her kid was in the back of the car the whole time), Reckless Driving, Destruction of Property (porta potty) and Driving on a Suspended License.”
