She Saw Her Son Praying in Walmart And Was Confused, Until She Saw The Blue Board Above His Head

One of the best things about being a parent is the many surprises that we get to experience on a daily basis. Just when we think that our children aren’t learning anything from us, they do something shocking that makes us realize that they’ve been listening all along. It can be daunting to think about all the ways our children could be swayed to be a different person than who we thought we raised.

When one mom took a trip to Walmart with her son, she learned a little bit about the person that her boy had become. Moments after they had arrived at the store, the young boy disappeared and she couldn’t find him anywhere. The first thing that she thought about was how mad she was at him for wandering off after he had been taught to stay by her side in stores. And then, she saw what he was doing and she changed her mind quickly.

“I had to run into Walmart. I turned around to make sure my son was next to me.”

She found the boy on his knees in front of a bench. But it wasn’t any bench. It was a bench that sat below a sign that displayed photos of children who had gone missing. The photos were on a sign that read “Every Second Counts,” sharing that all it took was a second for these children to get either kidnapped or lost.

Much to the mom’s surprise, the young boy was praying for the missing people and their family members.

A photo of the boy went viral and touched the hearts of those who had missing loved ones. Having garnered instant attention on social media, the photo has been shared 115,000 times so far has been featured on a missing child Facebook page that was started for a teenage boy who went missing in 2016. Evidently, the young boy kneeling in the photo happened to be praying in front of a board that held Aubrey Jayce Carroll’s photo. The kneeling boy’s photo was then put on a Facebook page titled “Bring Aubrey Home,” alongside the following caption…

“I don’t know who this little guy is but I want to thank you for praying for these children. One of those kids up there is my cousin Aubrey Carroll. This has certainly touched my heart. If I knew where or who this kid was I’d love to thank him personally.”

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, around 800,000 children are reported missing every year in the United States, which is a heartbreakingly high number.

One commenter really got through to everyone with a moving remark…

“Whether or not you believe in God really doesn’t matter. This was a child in Walmart who was thinking about others and doing the only thing he could to help. The world would be a better place if everyone followed his example.”

Just when we think that the world is made up of bad people, there are moments like this that are meant to open up our hearts. If this little boy is showing such kindness at such a young age, he is sure to do wonderful things in life.
