State Pushing To Pass Law That Will Make It Foolproof To Get Illegals To Vote In 2020

Updated February 11, 2018

A California program that may pass, allowing illegals to vote, is coming under fire.If the law passes,  “Californians who renew their driver’s license by mail will be registered to vote as part of a settlement of California’s alleged violations of the National Voting Rights Act of 1993.” This law was originally passed in 2015 and, according to WND, California issued driver’s licenses regardless of U.S. citizenship or legal status.

Conservative Tribune points out that there’s nothing to stop someone from voting illegally, although California Secretary of State Alex Padilla told the Los Angeles Times in 2015 that there’s a process for those who aren’t in the country legally to get a driver’s license and they would not be registered to vote.

Padilla explained:

“We’ve built the protocols and the firewalls to not register people that aren’t eligible. We’re going to keep those firewalls in place.”

He further explained to Huffington Post, that it’s “a safer way of doing things,” adding that applicants “have to demonstrate proof of age, the vast majority of time people are showing a birth certificate or a passport, which also reflects citizenship. That’s arguably more secure than someone checking a box under penalty of perjury.”

That said, the system isn’t perfect, as Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy said in 2015: “critics warn the measure could add millions of illegal people to the rolls because the state allows undocumented aliens to get driver’s licenses.”

Judge Andrew Napolitano supported that argument, saying:

“You may not even know that when you get your driver’s license you’re also being registered to vote. And there’s no requirement of proof of citizenship. All 50 states limit voting to citizens except when the state allows you to sort of sneak in without proving your citizenship by getting a driver’s license instead.”

Napolitano argued:

“It’s almost impossible to monitor this if the state is going to provide shelter for illegals to vote.”

Plenty of people weighed in on social media, with one person suggesting: “They shouldn’t be allowed a drivers license until they are legal citizens.”

When one person asked “how did illegal immigrants get the right to vote?” noting, “this sounds like a ploy of the dems to get more votes,” one heated commenter answered: “To keep them in power. To destroy this country. To get rid of our borders, language and culture. DEMS and certain repubs would rather bend over backwards for illegals than American citizens. Dems guve lip service in front of the camera and pretend they give a crap about this country.”

Another commenter noted: “When they implemented the motor/voter act and the licenses for illegals, they ASSURED us these were separate licenses. Is this a new effort to CHANGE what they originally promised. This was a very big concern in 2015, and as always, they dismissed us as being crazy conservatives. This is quite aggravating if it is truly an effort to back into what they promised it would not be.”

Still others pointed to the timing, with one person writing: “April 1st? Are the Dems putting that in place to fool some people into thinking that it’s actually a prank?”
