That Didn’t Take Long, OJ Simpson Already In Trouble Again After Being Released From Prison

Updated November 14, 2017

If you were alive in the nineties, then there is a good chance you know a whole lot about O.J. Simpson. The former football running back, actor, advertising spokesman, and broadcaster was convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping and charged with the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in 1994. After a lengthy and internationally publicized trial, Simpson was acquitted, but his name continued to be splashed across the media for years. In 1997, the families of the victims filed a civil suit against him and the civil court awarded a $33.5 million judgment against Simpson for the victims’ wrongful deaths.

After another incident that stemmed at the Palace Station casino, Simpson wound up in jail as the result of robbery and kidnapping charges. After spending nine years in jail, Simpson was granted parole on July 20, 2017, and was released on October 1, 2017.

While most would think that he would be laying low and keeping a clean slate, Simpson has been doing anything but that, as he was recently kicked out of The Cosmopolitan resort in Las Vegas, for being intoxicated and extremely unruly.

According to hotel staff members, Simpson became disruptive at the Clique bar, expressing anger toward the hotel staff and breaking glasses at the bar around midnight. Security guards arrived and removed Simpson from the hotel, and while they confirmed that the ex-con was nice to them, he is banned from ever returning to The Cosmopolitan.

A Twitter user got a photo of 70-year-old Simpson while he was at The Cosmopolitan on Wednesday evening. Alongside the photo, he made a comment about “never knowing who you are gonna see in Las Vegas.” The photo made its way around social media and spurred the following comments…

“Simpson Killer thinks he is still untouchable! Why doesn’t he stay home and drink? because he needs to be dreaming that he is still popular! God help the women!”

“You cannot be such a dummy? Where ignorance is bliss it is folly to be wise.”

“Nevada may be different, but last I checked you weren’t allowed to drink it up like that while on parole.”

While no one should really get unruly and drunk in a public setting, cops are probably just waiting to get their hands on OJ Simpson, considering his history shows more crime than not. One would think that the ex-con would be keeping a low profile, but he did quite the opposite considering he went to one of the most well-known bars in the city and decided to get drunk and belligerent there. It’s basically like marking himself with a giant red X and telling the world that he is not capable of being on the other side of prison bars.

We can only hope that Simpson changes his ways and decides to get drunk at home if he really feels the need. After all, he has been given another chance at life as a free man, so let’s hope he makes the best of it. Maybe he will end up surprising us all.
