Food is such a big part of our lives that it is strange how we overlook it so much sometimes. We work to get money to buy food, as well as eating three times a day. We don’t put nearly as much time into think about food as we used to back when food was scarce.
Food still takes a lot of thought though, and planning out what you are going to eat for every meal and what you are going to cook can prove very challenging. Thinking about what you are going to make for dinner each night of the week itself can be a challenge, never mind thinking about what you are going to make for dessert!
Dessert is not always necessary which is why it might slip our minds and we forget to plan for it, but when the time comes and you want something sweet, if you don’t have something planned you will always find yourself reaching for some basic ice cream.
Luckily, there are some recipes out there that are designed to be able to made with almost no prior planning due to how simple and easy they are which is great because you will be able to make these in a snap of your fingers without having to shop for them at all.
This recipe is for peach cobbler, and only has three ingredients in it! It may sound too good to be true, but if you follow these instructions, you should be able to whip up a batch of fresh peach cobbler in no time and have a dish that will wow your table guests.
All you’re going to need for this recipe is 1 can of peaches, 1 stick of butter, and 1 box of vanilla cake mix. These are also all ingredients that you can store for elongated periods of time which means you can keep them until time calls for a quick dessert.
Making this cobbler is just as easy as the ingredients list. All you need to do is to dump the can of beaches into a bake-safe dish along with the syrup, and then cover it in the cake mix. Using vanilla cake mix is your best bet here because it will blend in with any flavors that the peaches give. On top of the dry cake mix, cut up your stick of butter and lay it on top in such a way that it covers and even amount of space.
No need to be exact here, but try to get the slices of butter that you cut from the stick as even as possible so that you can have an even distribution.
Once your cobbler is set and ready to go, stick it into the oven for 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees, and you will have a fresh, delicious cobbler ready to eat.
