Ever since Colin Kaepernick took a seat during the national anthem back in August, he has sparked a political protest against what the flag stands for. Now many athletes have followed this misguided football player’s blind protest against police brutality and racial inequality in America one step further and joined him. But instead of sitting down, they are lowering themselves to the dirt and taking a knee during the playing of the anthem. And it’s a major source of shame for millions of Americans across the country – especially real Americans who love football, but love being a patriot even more.
Ever since football stopped being patriotic, Kaepernick and his cronies have taken a lot of abuse. They’ve lost endorsements and even been fired from their jobs. Their lack of solidarity for America has hurt football ratings and now many Americans don’t see the game as being pro-American anymore. They’re turning to basketball and baseball instead.
But on Saturday during the Army-Navy game, the military came together and performed a jaw-dropping rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” that puts Kaepernick and his kneeling goons to shame. Check out this amazing performance below and see why you’re proud to be an American!
Colin Kaepernick is having his worst year on record. Ever since he began playing for the San Francisco 49ers for his first full season back in 2012, he has never had such a low percentage of completion. His yardage has never been this low.
Ever since Kaepernick decided to bad-mouth the American flag and the national anthem, his professional statistics have gone down. Incorporating a political agenda into football was bad for his career, it seems.
Many people have rallied against Kaepernick and pointed out all the reasons why what he is doing is wrong. Just recently, during the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, US Navy Admiral Harris used his speech as an opportunity to burn the anti-patriot for taking a knee during the anthem, over and over and over again.
In the video below, which has already amassed thousands of views since being published on Saturday, the Army-Navy rendition of the national anthem is powerful and strong. With a choir composed of members from the different branches of the military, it speaks to what it means to be an American.
In the video below, you can move the camera around and get a 360-degree view of the amazing performance. It includes a flyover of four helicopters and that means the crowd erupts in applause. It also includes four fighter jets in tight formation flying over the stadium.
The video from the 117th Army-Navy Game includes the National Anthem, the flyover, and the moment the Black Knights and the Midshipmen take the field.
The crowd explodes as the choir finishes singing the magisterial song meant to unite America not divide it.
What is your reaction to this national anthem rendition during the Army-Navy game? Would it have made you stand up and put your hand over your heart?
