Two Babies Born In The Same Hospital By Strangers Gain National Fame Due To Coincidence

The days of traditional names are in the past. Now parents want their child to have the most unique name on the block. And they’re willing to sacrifice spelling and pronunciation to do it. But while many parents try to stretch the boundaries on what is an acceptable name for their child, many celebrities included, others are turning back to tradition. Many beautiful and iconic names appear in famous literature and stories. From ancient Greek poetry to the Bible, names are everywhere. But when two new parents pulled names from Shakespeare’s most famous play, little did they know that they were setting their babies up for a remarkable first day on earth.

An incredibly, star-crossed coincidence occurred at a South Carolina hospital. When photographer Cassie Clayshulte, who was hired to take photos of newborn baby Romeo, was taking photos of the newborn, it was business as usual. But when she looked at the name of her next client, her jaw hit the floor.

Up next was little Juliet. The famous star-crossed lovers were in bassinets right next to each other.

Many were amazed at the remarkable coincidence that occurred.

“It was just a coincidence. They were both actually scheduled to be induced on March 26, but they both came early which is so neat,” Clayshulte told CBS News. “It just shows even more that it’s fate — they just happened to be in the room next to each other.”

Romeo and Juliet were born at the same hospital. It is true. And what is even more amazing is the fact that their mothers gave birth to the babies just a room away from each other. Romeo came just about 18 hours before his fated lover Juliet was born.

And what is even more remarkable is that both mothers were scheduled to be induced on the same day. But instead of the moms showing up for their scheduled date, both babies decided to come earlier than planned.

Because Clayshulte, the photographer, was so amazed by the coincidence, she was compelled to notify the parents. And when they heard what was happening, they decided they’d better get the two would-be lovers together and make peace between the families before anything bad happened.

So with the two babies side by side, the photographer snapped the now viral photo floating around the internet.

“Both parents had picked the names out early on in their pregnancies, and neither couple knew each other until they met that day,” Clayshulte said.

Because the coincidence was too good, the parents decided they had better get the marriage out of the way already. They decided to joke about arranging the marriage.

“We’ve already made jokes they need an arranged marriage,” Clayshulte said. “I had told them that if they want to book me now as their wedding photographer they could do that.”

After taking photos of the babies, Clayhulte shared the images with the parents.

“They both cried,” Clayshulte said. “They just loved them.”
