Updated July 7, 2016

If you’re like me, you love enjoying a delicious snack. There’s just something so nice about devouring a tasty treat in between the main meals of the day. One of my favorite snacks is some Greek yogurt with blueberries. Or if I’m out of that, I’ll enjoy a couple handfuls of mixed nuts.

But if you’re looking for a snack that heats things up, check out what YouTuber Cathy Diep just shared online. It’s a perfect supplement for your barbecue menu. She’s making delicious, tasty mini corn dogs. Learn how to make this simple snack today…

“Today, I’m going to show you how to make mini corn dogs in this easy-to-follow recipe that’s not only downright delicious, but a delectable and cute treat for any party,” Cathy writes in her video description.

Besides being a minimalist snack, these tasty treats don’t take long to make. Plus you’ll only need a few items and ingredients including:

-Hot dogs
-Sugar
-Flour
-Cornstarch
-Vegetable oil
-Cornmeal
-Buttermilk
-Skewers

Start by cutting off about 3-inches from your wooden skewers. Let them short pointy end of the stick sit in water for 30-mintues to soften.

In a large mixing bowl, add 1 ½ cups of cornmeal, ½ cup all-purpose flour, 3 tbsp. sugar, and 1 ½ cups buttermilk. Then combine and mix together until you have a thick batter. Set aside.

Question of the week: If you could take a vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Cut your hot dogs in half. You can use any kind of hot dogs you like. Beef are my favorite.

Pour flour in a separate bowl. Now gently roll your half hot dogs in the flour and coat them in it.

Then skewer the hot dog pieces and roll them around in the batter. Make sure your mini corn dogs get completely covered.

Heat up your vegetable oil on the stove top. Make sure it reaches 350°F before you drop in your corn dogs. But when it’s ready carefully dip the entire snack into the oil. Let it fry until each mini corn dog is golden brown. This takes only about 2-3 minutes.

After they’re fried, these corn dogs are ready to be served. They’ll be hot so be careful.

TIP: Use ketchup and mustard if you love condiments on your hot dogs.
