When two muggers targeted a 55-year-old homeless man, you know they must be desperate. If robbers are trying to steal money or possessions off a person who clearly does not have enough to afford a place to sleep, those muggers are either slow in the head or as desperate as desperate can get. But when these two muggers turned their weapon onto the homeless man’s six-year-old daughter – and stabbed her in the stomach – the muggers crossed over onto the side of evil.

The crime occurred Thursday night in New York City. The father was homeless in the Upper West Side neighborhood with his daughter. The two muggers came out of nowhere and confronted the father and his little girl. The muggers then drew their knife on the family and robbed the father of the little that he had. Because the girl did not want to lose their only hope at food, she said something – that’s when the mugger turned the knife on her and pushed the blade through her clothes into her stomach, causing severe life-threatening damage.

The little girl was taken to Bellevue Hospital. She is expected to recover. However, the fate of this family could not have been worse. Not only are they homeless, but now they’re going to have to deal with a massive healthcare bill since the two muggers have not been identified, and no arrests have been made.

The little girl had to undergo surgery when she reached the hospital. The injury was very severe, so the girl had to go into emergency surgery as soon as she made it to the hospital.

After the muggers attempted to murder the child, they stole the father’s credit card and some jewelry from him.

Although the muggers managed to get away with that loot, the father was able to protect some of their other valuables. He had some money that he kept and other credit cards that were not stolen. If it wasn’t for the bravery of the little girl, the family’s entire stash might have been stolen by the low-life crooks who targeted a homeless man and his six-year-old daughter. Can you think of a pair of criminals more cowardly and low than these two guys?

Although the New York Police Department has not yet made any arrests in connection to this case, they are working to find the muggers. So far, no identities have been published.

Detectives are interviewing the father because they want to know if the man knew the suspects or not. Sometimes within the homeless community, news of someone’s success can travel, which causes the vultures to rush over and try to take what they can – they’re scavengers.

However, police have a break in the case. The homeless man, identified as Jia Pan, has since confessed to stabbing his own daughter in the stomach while the two were at the Volunteers for America homeless shelter.

“When he was taken in for questioning, things didn’t add up,” a source said. “After we questioned him some more, he admitted to stabbing his daughter.”

Pan has been charged with attempted manslaughter, assault, reckless endangerment, and endangering the welfare of a child.
