On Friday, an Australian celebrity who has made a name for herself in American media was banned from Disneyland for violating the park’s policy. Apparently, Rebel Wilson, the Australian actress who is 43 years old, claimed to want to get engaged in Disneyland. Although Wilson, who is a lesbian, got engaged to her girlfriend Ramona Agrum at the Disneyland theme park located outside of Los Angeles in Anaheim, California, she went about it the wrong way and snapped a photo inside of a “secret bathroom,” which earned her banishment from the Happiest Place on Earth.

Wilson’s banishment from Disneyland came after she thanked Disney CEO Bob Iger for giving her permission to propose to her girlfriend at the theme park. However, she failed to follow park rules and was subsequently banned from the California theme park for a long, long time.

In conversation with The Daily Show, Rebel Wilson confirmed that she was banned after she snapped photos inside a secret bathroom that was off-limits to her and her girlfriend. She said, “I did get banned from Disneyland for 30 days because I took a photo inside a secret bathroom, which is illegal, at Disneyland.”

However, Disney bosses went easy on Rebel Wilson. They were able to move her banned dates around to give her access to the theme park when it was convenient for her. Although Rebel Wilson was banned from California’s Disneyland for thirty days, it was not the worst punishment for the Australian plus-size actress.

She continued: “I got officially banned for 30 days. They called me up and said, ‘Rebel, what 30 days did you not want to come to Disneyland because you’re away filming a movie or something?’ And I was like, ‘Oh, well, June would be fine.’”

In addition, to revealing that she found access to one of the theme park’s “secret bathrooms” and snapped photos while inside it. She also claimed that the children’s and family-friendly theme park was overrun by “gangs of adults” who were trying to feel like children again.

“They wear matching vests and walk around and do gang stuff around Disneyland,” she claimed. “One of the initiations was you had to steal the apple from the Snow White ride, and the apple kept getting stolen so many times they had to make it a hologram. But don’t ask me how I know about Disneyland gangs because I will not say.”

In the wake of her proposal to Wilson’s fiancé Ramona, she thanked Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney, in an Instagram post.

Wilson reported on The Drew Barrymore Show, “He’s the big, big boss, and I thought, ‘Well, if he says yes, then it was meant to be, and I was meant to propose that day at Disneyland, (which is) the most magical proposal place on Earth.”

Wilson added, “I had to get special permission to get a special area roped off and get the topiary trees in, and, you know, I had a violinist playing like Disney classics, and it was very, really romantic.”
