You cannot judge a book by its cover. Although publishing companies put a lot of time and money into making the perfect book cover to influence people to buy the book, we are taught from a young age that we should never judge a book based on what is on the outside. And the same goes for us as well. Don’t judge a cashier at Target, because he could be a patient and kind angel just waiting for a chance to show his greatness to the world.
Don’t judge someone on the street because they could just be down on their luck and in need of a helping hand to get back on their feet. And do not judge a puppy.
Because it may be small now, but it will soon grow up to be something more. Check out the video below to see what he turned into.
But that’s what one couple did when they went to the animal shelter looking to add a new member to their family. They found an adorable puppy. And he was one of the smallest little guys at the place. They feel in love. But soon after bringing him home, they realized they had made a hilarious mistake.
Sue Markham always wanted a small Jack Russell terrier. These dogs are playful and energetic, and they’re small enough to sit in your lap. So she went to the animal shelter and found a black and white puppy that looked utterly adorable. She adopted the pup on the spot and convinced her husband that the dog would grow up to be the dog of their dreams.
Although Sue and her husband wanted a small dog, their puppy named Yogi was not a Jack Russell terrier like they had assumed. Yogi was really a Boston Great Dane. And in time, he would grow big enough to rule the entire house.
While Sue thought the pup was a terrier at first, she quickly realized her mistake. But her husband did not get it until much later. So for a few weeks, she managed to keep Yogi’s true breed identity under wraps and fool her husband into thinking he would grow up into a small dog. During that time, her husband fell in love with Yogi, and by the time he realized he was going to be one of the largest types of dogs on the planet, he did not have the heart to get rid of the adorable dog.
While Yogi was already a large dog breed, he ended up becoming large even for his breed. Yogi weighs about 200 pounds, and he is 6 feet and 11 inches tall when stretched out at full length.
“I thought a big dog would be a lot of work and could be trouble. We only have a small living room,” Robert, Sue’s husband, told Daily Mail. “I thought, ‘How much trouble could a Jack Russell be?’ By the time he was five months old, he was bigger than any Jack Russell he came across at the park, and he had this big tongue that lolled out of his mouth and a tail like a baseball bat.”
Although he is big, Yogi is a member of the family for life.
