Everyone Is Sharing Photos Of This Wedding Dress Once They Realize Its Secret

Choosing the wedding dress can be a stressful decision for any bride. She often goes to numerous fittings and tries on all sorts of styles and shapes. Unless she knows exactly what she wants and can make a decision, going through the options can be stressful and even intimidating. That’s why it is important to find someone you can trust to help you make a decision about which dress looks best.

However, any bride that saw the wedding dress in these photos would be disappointed. Not only would they never be able to wear it, the person who made it would not be willing to part with it. The reason for this is different than you’d expect. Not only are they enamored with their beautiful creation, but they also can’t sell it for someone to wear at their wedding for another reason as well. Can you spot this wedding dress’s secret?

Emma Jayne Morris, the creator of this shocking wedding dress, loves making brides’ dreams come true. That’s why she was at this bridal expo to help brides figure out what is best for them. But when people asked if they could get a wedding dress like this, she was sorry to let them down. Because this is not a dress at all, it is wedding care designed to look like an ornate wedding dress!

The “wedding dress” in the photos is not a dress at all, but a delicious and elegant cake by Emma Jayne Cake Design. If a bride came to Emma Jayne Morris for their wedding cake, she would be able to turn their vision into reality as she proved by bringing this wedding dress cake along with her.

Morris took her inspiration for the dress from the Filipino fashion designer Mak Tumang. Mak’s dress, called the “Angela” gown was what Morris used as a model to craft her massive cake.

The “Angela” wedding dress cake modeled after Mak Tumang’s design is huge. Measuring in at over six-feet tall, this creation, all cake and fondant, is not something people could actually wear. Also, it weighs much more than you might think. Morris used 132 pounds of fondant and 110 pounds of modeling paste to make the cake – and that is not even accounting for the pounds of butter, sugar, and flour used to make the cake underneath the beautiful outside layer.

Morris spent ten days making the masterpiece, creating it from inside her own home. The reason she did it from home rather than a bakery or professional kitchen had to do with transporting it. She was able to move it out of her home after making it, which she would not have been able to do if she had done it anywhere else available to her.

Emma Jayne Cake Design first shared the wedding dress cake at the London Cake International.

“We were asked to choose a wedding dress designer and make a cake based on one of the wedding dresses. I was asked to make the only life-size wedding dress and chose Mak Tumang as his designs stopped me in my tracks. They are simply incredible.”

Designer Tumang posed with Morris and the cake, and was honored to have his design featured for the creation.
