Giving birth is a miracle. But the ninth months to get to that point can be physical torture. Not only is an entire human being taking whatever it needs from mom, it takes a toll on her energy levels, her joints, and her feet. When the due date comes and passes, mom wants nothing more than to birth her baby and be done with the stresses and physical pains of pregnancy.

While giving birth to one baby is hard enough, being pregnant with twins is even tougher. But when the due date came and went for this pregnant mom, she was ready to do whatever it took to get her twin boys out into the world. That’s why, with the support of her loving husband, she set up the camera and started to do something that her twins are going to love to see when they’re older.

With her husband by her side, the pregnant mom started dancing to The Black Eyed Peas’ hit song “Let’s Get It Started.” And if that song doesn’t speak mom’s mind as she feels, then no song will!

At the start of the video, mom issues a warning to her healthy twin boys.

“Wes and Isaac. You’re four days overdue. You brought this on yourself!”

She then forgoes all of her doubts and starts dancing her heart out in front of the camera.

As you see her “bust a move” to The Black Eyed Peas, you’d think that mom would go into labor there and then. But she didn’t. Things didn’t start happening for her twins until two days later. But by that time, her boys were ready to come into the world. Mom, with the support of her midwife, went through the birthing process without medication. It was an unprecedented triumph for mom. But given how athletic and healthy she proved to be in her ninth month, it’s not as surprising as you might think.

However, the sight of her bouncing belly in the dance video is enough to make you hold your breath. You can’t help but worry that her twin boys are going to pop out at any second.

The dance actually came after ten-straight days of trying to induce labor. Mom wrote about her harrowing experience on her blog Nothings and Notions.

“I was pretty desperate,” the mom wrote. “Desperate enough to make this video, and crazy enough to actually post my shenanigans on the internet. Pregnancy does strange things to people.”

The dance came after mom started having contractions. They were not true labor contractions but Braxton Hicks contractions, which hurt, but are not indicative of labor.

For hours, the contractions kept going and mom kept timing them, losing sleep over her worries to have a healthy birth. She was in a lot of pain, with the stubborn twin boys, who just didn’t seem to want to be born yet.

In the end, mom had the “natural, unmedicated childbirth” that she wanted. “God’s hand of protection was completely involved in every step of the way.”

What do you think about mom’s silly dance video?
