Because the Christmas season is upon us, people are opening their hearts and sharing the generosity within them. You’ll see this happening as you’re driving to work or getting in line at the grocery store. People will let you into traffic more around this time of year and hold the door for you with a smile when you’re coming in from the parking lot.
The Christmas season also means it is time to do your last-minute volunteering at your local soup kitchen or favorite charitable organization. And if you’re musically inclined, get out there and start singing your favorite Christmas carols so you can inspire more people to feel the Christmas spirits.
That’s what GENTRI does for a living. This trio of talented singers known as The Gentleman Trio, GENTRI for short, love to shower us with the joy of song around Christmas time. This year, they’re back with a rendition of “Little Drummer Boy” that will leave you weeping with emotion. Why? That’s because GENTRI went to a local children’s hospital and got sick kids to participate in their music video performance. As you’ll see when you check out the video included at the bottom of this story, GENTRI knows how to use the child actors in a way that pulls at your heartstrings.
One lesson that I glean from GENTRI’s new music video and performance of “Little Drummer Boy” is that, no matter how hard things are for you in your life, the holiday season can bring you light and joy. Just think about Charles Dickens’s famous character Ebenezer Scrooge. Even that cold-hearted man was transformed because of the spirit of Christmas. Just think what this time of year can do to normal people like you and me!
GENTRI first rose to fame after they sang in a production of Les Miserables. Because they connected while on set, they formed a band after the production was concluded. Ever since then, they’ve been on the way up to stardom and fame across the world. If you’ve never listened to any of their songs, you’re in for a treat!
The Gentleman Trio combine their faith in God, the power of their voices, and their talent to inspire people to feel the holiday spirit. Even for those who do not celebrate Christmas, it is impossible not to feel inspired as you listen to these talented men sing.
During an interview with Prelude Press, GENTRI discussed how they hope to spread a message about chasing dreams and finding hope in life.
“Everyone has a dream and often times the only thing stopping them from pursuing it is themselves. Life is truly a gift, and we should embrace and learn from its challenges and learn to love and enjoy the moments of brilliance. It is a marathon filled with moments of hardship and struggle, triumph and celebration. We hope our music serves as a soundtrack to the lives of those who choose to listen to it, buoying them up when they are struggling and empowering them when they are succeeding.”
Listen to them sing. You’ll be inspired!
