Roseanne Barr’s Latest Comments About The #MeToo Movement Are Causing Outrage

After Roseanne Barr made controversial comments concerning racial issues, she lost the privilege of her television show. Nevertheless, the controversial actress continues to seek publicity and make headlines with other offensive remarks. Most recently, she targeted the courageous women coming forward to speak out against sexual assault and abuse. She lashed out in a verbal attack at these women, calling the women of the #MeToo movement “hoes.”

Only a few weeks after Roseanne was brought back to ABC in 2018, Barr was fired for a racist tweet in May 2018. Despite her disgraced career, Barr continues to want to get people riled up. She sat down with far-right conservative commentator Candace Owens for an interview that was published on Sunday.

During the interview, Barr made shocking remarks about the women who are standing up to the men who tried to oppress them through sexual violence.

“They were there in the room because they thought they were going to get a job 15 years ago. Because they’re hoes,” Barr told Owens as they discussed the heroic women of the #MeToo movement.

Barr believes that any woman who goes to a man’s hotel room is just “pretending that they didn’t go to trade sexual favors for money.”

After making these remarks, Barr continued to ridicule the victims of sexual assault claiming they were just greedy women seeking a favor from a powerful man.

“Well, you ain’t nothing but a hoe. I know a hoe when I see one,” Barr added.

The #MeToo movement started more than a decade ago when activist Taran Burke (pictured above) began using the catchphrase to raise awareness around sexual assault and the horrible things women endure as they try to achieve success in the world.

In 2017, the movement expanded when the truth about Harvey Weinstein came forward, and dozens of women began accusing him of heinous crimes.

Although Barr did not mention the movement’s founder, Burke, probably because she doesn’t know much about it, but she did lash out against Christine Blasey Ford who accused US judge Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.

When Ford (pictured ab0ve) took a seat to testify against Kavanaugh during his hearing as a Supreme Court Justice, she told the country about the horrible things he allegedly did to her when they were younger.

During her interview with Candance Owens, Barr claimed “nothing happened” to Ford back when she claimed Kavanaugh assaulted her.

“She should be in prison,” Barr said about Ford after she came forward.

The interview then shifted to a discussion of California Democrat Kamal Harris who is in the running for president of the United States.

Barr didn’t like her and said, “Look at Kamala Harris, who I call Kama Sutra Harris. We all know what she did… she slept her way to the bottom.” Barr was referring to Harris’s former relationship with San Francisco mayor Willie Brown.

Barr also attacked freshman representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez calling the young woman a “bug-eyed bitch.” She also said that Ocasio-Cortez’s climate change plan would “decimate communities.”
