Thousands of people tuned in when they heard about the show My 600lb Life. The program offered viewers a wonderful promise. You’d get to see morbidly obese people seeking weight-loss treatment options in order to turn their lives around and lead a healthier and more active existence. Although there were many people who participated with the show who weighed more than 600 pounds, time has proven that 51-year-old Milla Clark was the person to go on to have the most success.

When we first met Milla on the television program, the mother of five topped the scales at 751 pounds. Milla lived with her family in Fayetteville, Tennessee, and could not do anything by herself. She relied on her family to wash her body and clean under her folds of fat. She could not walk and required them to bring her sustenance.

Over three years, Milla proved that she was determined enough to change her life forever dramatically. She has since lost 596 pounds and slimmed down to a much more manageable 155 pounds. She had to learn to walk all over again and did so as she was shedding those hundreds of pounds.

In the history of the television show, Milla is by far the most successful person on the program. Because she managed to shed 596 pounds after receiving treatment on the controversial show, she has proven to be the most successful.

When Milla first met Dr. Younan Nowzaradan more than three years ago, she weighed 751 pounds. She was facing certain death unless she did the hard work of shedding the weight that was holding her back from living an enjoyable life.

Because she weighed so much, Milla could not move. She was stuck in her bed and had not gotten out of it in three years by the time she was accepted as a participant for the show. One of the primary reasons that she was bedridden was because she had developed 43-pound lymphedema on her leg, which was a large growth. The growth would swell and leave Milla in serious pain whenever she tried to stand.

While on the show, Milla told Dr. Nowzaradan that she had not walked by herself in thirteen years because of the painful growth. She admitted that her life was “miserable” and that she desperately wanted to change her life and become healthier and happier.

“Every single day of my life is miserable,” she said. “I have been trapped in these four walls for more than two years. During that time, I have not stood one time. All I can do is eat and sleep.”

Milla would not have been able to survive if it weren’t for her children. They nursed her constantly and brought her the food she craved. Four of her children had been adopted.

Because she was helpless, Milla’s children had to rise before the sun to bathe their mother and wash her flaps of fat.

“It is such a humiliating thing,” Milla said in 2017. Since her days on the show, she’s made astronomical strides. Now she’s the fittest she’s ever been.
