Not long ago, the United Kingdom’s Food Standards Agency discovered an atrocious reality around one of their manufacturers. As it turned out, there was a carcinogenic dye included in chili powder called sudan 1. It was included in various products, 580 in fact, including Worcestershire Sauce and Caesar dressing, which posed a threat to millions of people’s lives.

Because the companies had to recall the product due to the dye in the chili powder, businesses lost millions of dollars. That’s a lot of cash for a food company.

Some brands that were affected included Birds Eye, which allegedly had to “run into double-digit millions” of dollars to deal with the recall. Wow.

The next recall affected something that most people love to eat no matter what month.
