The Judge Has Just Sentenced The Man Who Got HIV Intentionally To Infect Others

When it comes to human beings, there aren’t many who are more terrible than Stephen Koch of Scranton, Arkansas. He’s only 25 years old but he already has a list of crimes that would make Whitey Bulger blush. While he may not be quite the same as the violent mobster, Koch is absolutely horrible in a much different, yet terrifying way.

Koch is not your conventional criminal by a long shot. His crimes go far and beyond just the rule of law – they go against the very foundations of humanity.

Last week he appeared in court to face the music for his crimes, and he openly admitted to one of the worst charges against him. Apparently, he intentionally contracted HIV in order to attempt to infect someone else with it.

“Just so I can get my brain around this, did I understand the state correctly; Mr. Koch intentionally contracted the HIV virus that he could the infect others?” Judge Robin Green asked after hearing about it for the first time.

He pleaded guilty to that charge, but that wasn’t the only thing he was being charged with. He was also charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of paraphernalia, and methamphetamine delivery.

Even those charges pale in comparison to the final, most-chilling one; eight counts of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child. Like many crimes, these weren’t uncovered initially but rather after the first drug-related charges.

Once he was first arrested for the methamphetamine delivery, an informant went to the police and shared the more damning child-porn related crimes. The extent of these crimes is astounding and the Judge Green had to put this man away for a long time. That’s the only way the public would be safe from his sick and twisted ways.

Koch seemed to agree with the judge and said that he had no intentions of stopping his horrific actions. There was no other option other than to sentence him to 50 years in prison, after which he will serve 10 more years of a commuted sentence.

When someone shows no remorse for their horrible crimes, the state is forced into a difficult situation. There was no choice – he needed to go away for a long, long time. Now Koch won’t be free to roam the world again until he is 75-years-old, and even then he’ll be on a commuted sentence.

He will also be forced to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, or at least for the short amount of it he will spend outside of jail. Rumors are that sex offenders don’t get great treatment in prison, so Koch has that to look forward to for the next five decades.

“Wow. That is one mentally deranged person,” said Dolphin111.

“Really sad to see people that have no direction in life and find no meaning in their lives….. now the gov’t has to take care of him for 50 years. A wasted life!” commented Robgintr.
