The Pilot Had To Turn The Plane Around After Mom Forgot Her Baby At The Airport

There are few things that will get a pilot to turn the plane around. Perhaps, there is a crazed passenger on board who wants to commit an act of violence. Maybe a passenger is very, very sick and requires immediate medical attention. But in Saudi Arabia, a pilot turned around for a unique reason. While onboard the flight, a concerned mother got the pilot to turn the plane around and head back to the airport because she forgot her baby.

That’s right. When the mother started freaking out during the flight, realizing that she had forgotten her baby at the airport, she begged the pilot to turn the flight around and head straight back. It was a shocking moment for all aboard and begs the question – how did this mother forget her baby?

Being a mom is a hard job. Moms have to think of everything. If they’re going to go out for the day with their baby, they have to pack a diaper bag loaded with supplies to keep the baby happy. These can include anything from diapers to snacks to cleaning wipes to an extra bottle and a backup pacifier. But this mom didn’t just forget to pack the changing pad. She forgot to bring the baby on board the flight.

By a stroke of luck, this mother realized that her baby was not with her soon after the takeover. Because of this fortunate accident, the pilot was able to turn the plane around and help the mother get reunited with her forgotten child.

There is a viral video spreading across the internet where the pilot is talking to the air traffic controller. In the video, you can hear the pilot say, “May God be with us. Can we come back or what?”

The pilot then paused for a moment before he continued, saying: “This flight requesting to come back. A passenger forgot her baby in the waiting area. Poor thing.”

That’s right. This is not a hoax. This mom actually forgot her child while boarding the plane. It’s an incident akin to leaving a child in a hot car and allowing it to suffocate and die. What would have happened if this mother had not realized the baby was missing until much later in the flight? What would have happened to the little one if the pilot had been unable to turn the flight around and head back to where they took off from? Might the government of Saudi Arabia have stripped custody of the baby from this negligent mother? Should she still face charges for accidentally abandoning her child in the airport? There are a lot of unanswered questions that the law enforcement officers will have to decide answers to.

Fortunately, the pilot was granted permission to turn around and return to the airport. It can only be assumed that the mother was reunited with the child and that no one kidnapped the forgotten baby from the airport waiting area.

What do you think about this incident in Saudi Arabia?
