The Police Found Child Porn On His Computer, But He Says He Identifies As An 8-Year-Old Girl

One convicted sex offender is trying to use the Bill of Rights to defend his criminal love of children. Not only does the sex-crazed maniac claim to “identify” as an eight-year-old girl, the Michigan man argues that the stash of illicit images of children that he has piled onto his computer’s hard drive should be protected under the Constitution’s guarantee of his freedom of speech.

45-year-old Joseph Gobrick believes he’s a girl child. He was sentenced to up to twenty years in prison after he was found to be in possession of dozens of illegal images of children. Some of these images were so brutal in that they depicted vile acts being perpetrated onto little ones. And while any sane person would find these images repulsive and gut-wrenchingly horrible, Gobrick had a treasure trove of them at his computer in his home in Grand Rapids – and believes it was his right to possess the pictures.

Gobrick argued that the images were “computer-animated” and therefore, should be protected under the first amendment. However, police found that the images were actually depicting real eight-year-old children who had been subjected to the vilest crimes imaginable to a human being.

Some of the victims in Gobrick’s stash featured victims as young as infants to those who were closer to five-years-old.

Like a fool, Gobrick represented himself at trial. It was likely that no self-respecting lawyer could muster up the façade to defend the sex offender on the grounds that he was using his first amendment to view images of children.

“I would no sooner have sex with a child than you would with a rattlesnake,” he said to the judge in court. “It’s just not safe.”

Not only did he try to defend the images of children as his right, but he also claimed that he was a child himself. While standing before the judge, Gobrick said he was an eight-year-old girl.

“I’ve always been an eight-year-old girl. And even my drawings and fantasies, I am always an eight-year-old girl.”

Although he tried to defend himself, prosecutors did not hold back their punches. They called him a “danger to the public” and argued that he spent his time in prison bragging about how he raped infants and babies.

“Based on everything he’s said and done, including bragging about what he was drawing in his cell, he obviously doesn’t think child sexually abusive material is wrong,” the Kent County Circuit Court judge said. “This isn’t just virtual stuff. This is also real people being harmed.”

Police finally arrested Gobrick in 2018 when they found a 17-year-old girl at his home. The child had previously been listed as endangered or missing and endangered she was since she was in the presence of Gobrick.

During that investigation, authorities found much too much evidence of a predilection for illegal images of children. Gobrick already had a record as a sex offender. Back in 2001, he was convicted of sexual abuse in New York. That’s why he fled to Michigan, where he got away with his crimes for years.

Gobrick will serve ten to twenty years in prison for the most recent charges against him.
