Meet Gerrad Coddington, 25, and Christina Nelson-Coddington, 29 of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. They have been thrown in jail with a bond set at $5,000,000 each after the State’s Attorney General’s Office charged the couple with violently and gruesomely raping their own two-year-old daughter. Gerrard and Christina have each been charged with multiple counts of rape, incest, and child abuse after the Attorney General’s Office got a tip about what was really going on at the Oklahoma home.
While these parents are extremely dangerous people, their plans go even more into the realm of the twisted and demented. As police documents detail, Gerrad also had plans of raping their second child, who had not even been born yet.
Although both Gerrard and Christina were much more powerful and bigger than their two-year-old daughter, they would use handcuffs to lock the child down as they proceeded to do the most heinous and twisted things imaginable to the little girl. If she cried, they kept going. They didn’t care about her wellbeing at all – they just wanted to get off with their vile acts of cruelty and abuse.
In June, the couple was charged with manufacturing and possessing illegal images of children. They were also charged with lewd acts with a minor and violating the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act, Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter said.
But as is clear from this article, the charges against this colluding couple have been upgraded in the weeks since their initial arrest.
Unfortunately, the authorities did not do their jobs well. If they had, they would have been able to find the incest and rape earlier and possibly save the little girl from cruel suffering and torturous acts.
The crimes were initially investigated when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children got a hot tip about what really goes on inside the home of Gerrard and Christina. The group then sent that information over to the Attorney General without hesitation.
This first tip had to do with nude images of a child that the couple were sharing with the world via the internet. That’s when an agent at the state’s AG office began investigating the couple with full force. The investigation bore fruit immediately and found that the IP address from the couple’s home was regularly shipping out sexually explicit images of children.
A team comprising of the Attorney General’s Office, United States Department of Homeland Security and Pauls Valley Police Department worked together to get a search warrant for the couple’s property.
The investigators found explicit images of the two-year-old girl. They had been abusing the child for a long time.
According to Daily Mail, Hunter said, “Children are among the most vulnerable and defenseless in our society and crimes against them will never be tolerated by my office.”
He added, “We will also ensure those who commit these types of crimes are held accountable and punished to the full extent of the law. I appreciate US Attorney Downing for partnering with us on this case to ensure justice is served, and those who committed these horrific acts are unable to do it again.”
