A group of men and boys have been freed from a life of torture. Some 300 all-male victims were kept in a brutal “house of torture” under the guise of being an Islamic boarding school were detained and raped by staff members for years in the city of Kaduna in Nigeria. When police raided the building, they found victims in appalling conditions.
The victims, who were mostly children, were chained up and locked away as detainees and forced to endure torture and ungodly sexual abuse violently. These victims were not allowed to leave and were starved as a method to keep them subservient and weak. The abusers wanted their victims to stay and were willing to do everything in their power to retain their horrid power.
When police knocked down the doors of the building, they found that the boys and men in a virtual prison. A police spokesperson said that the victims were kept in “the most debasing and inhuman conditions in the name of teaching them the Koran and reforming them.”
Photos of the rescued victims show the brutalized bodies with scars and wounds across their backs. The boys and men were kept with chains on their hands and knees. They had been kept as virtual sex slaves under the guise of an Islamic reformation school.
Kaduna state’s chief of police Ali Janga simply called it what it was, “human slavery.” Because an anonymous person provided a tip on Thursday, the police had enough evidence to conduct a raid – and it was a major success, considering how many innocent people they saved from the vile acts of the perpetrators.
Chief of police Janga called the place a “house of torture,” and the men had been taken from countries outside of Nigeria including Burkina Faso, Mali, and other African countries.
As it turns out, the school had been in operation for at least a decade. Family members deposited the people into the school because they hoped the school would teach them the Koran. Unfortunately, the victims, who were often drug addicts in need of rehabilitation or those suffering from other illnesses, were handed over to a bunch of wolves who only planned to use the victims for carnal purposes.
During the raid, the proprietor of the school and six staff members were arrested.
“We found around 100 students including children as young as nine, in chains stuffed in a small room, all in the name of reforming them and making them responsible persons,” a police spokesperson said. “The victims were abused. Some of them said they were sodomized by their teachers.”
One victim, 42-year-old Bello Hamza, spoke: “I have spent three months here with chains on my legs. I am supposed to be pursuing my Masters in University Pretoria South Africa. I got admission to study Applied Mathematics, but here I am chained. They claim to be teaching us Quran and Islam, but they do a lot of things here. They subject the younger ones to homosexuality.”
