This Married Couple Were About To Enjoy Their First Dance, But Then The Barn Doors Opened

This is a touching wedding surprise like no other. When a newly married couple took to the dance floor for their first dance, they never could have expected what happened next. Brandon and Sara were enjoying their wedding reception at the Sugar Island Barn in Osh Kosh, Wisconsin, when their friend Tammy presented them with the ultimate wedding gift. Their reactions are priceless.

Tammy discovered that Brandon and Sara’s favorite band were in town for a concert so she extended an invitation to the band to make a special appearance at her friends’ reception. She didn’t have high hopes that they would take her up on the invitation, but figured it was worth giving it a shot anyway.

Brandon and Sara planned to dance to “Bless The Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts, with lyrics that spoke to them and their relationship. Before the song was to begin, however, Sara’s sister took to the microphone to announce: “I’m not musically inclined at all, so we needed a little extra help for this surprise for you guys. So with a little help, I’ll hand it off to them.”

Yes, the band Rascal Flatts was there, in person, to perform the song for Sara and Brandon’s special day. It’s amazing they made an appearance, given their level of fame, but they’re always grateful to their fans, so this was just a small way to give back to their supporters.

As the band doors opened to reveal the band, Brandon and Sara started crying immediately, completely shocked and thrilled by their special wedding surprise. Sara said of the moment: “One of the best things was that they said they were going to be praying for us. Because obviously marriage isn’t an easy thing, it’s kinda difficult. So we’ll we praying for them, they’ll be praying for us and it was a great, great, great experience.”

Tammy explained why she approached the band to come to the wedding, noting: :I knew that Rascal Flatts was up at Country USA and I thought, ‘You know what, wouldn’t it be really cool if they could stop [by]?’ So, I sent them an email and gave them kind of a little background story about Brandon and Sara and who they are.”

The band posted a video of the big surprise on their Facebook page, writing: “Wedding crashing… Coming to a city near you! Sending a lifetime of love and happiness to Brandon and Sara. It was an honor to be part of your special day.”

Their post opened up a flood of more wedding invites and tons of praise from fans, with one person writing: “Y’all are so awesome, it’s great that you would do that for others. I think a lot of y’all. God bless y’all.”

Another commenter shared: “I officiated my niece’s wedding last summer and made a memory book to keep myself on track for the ceremony. The last page has ‘My Wish’ on it, because that song sums up what I want for them as they grow their lives together. Rascal Flatts is one of my favorite groups, and so many of their songs touch my soul. This was a great story. Thank you for sharing this.”
