Flying can be an aggravating experience all on its own. Now throw a worldwide flight with a kid on it into the mix and you may have an even more aggravating experience. It’s one thing to have a screaming baby on a flight. They are so young they don’t know how to react to the change in cabin pressure, but when a toddler is acting up beyond belief, that is an entirely different story.
One Rumble user decided to film his time on a plane with a very rambunctious toddler. The eight-hour-flight from Germany to Newark, New Jersey was certainly a memorable one for the disgruntled passenger who had to sit directly behind the screaming and climbing toddler. The young boy can be seen not only standing in his seat but also attempting to climb the back of the seat near the head rest. When his care taker tells him to “sit,” he screams instead.
It’s difficult to make out what he is saying, but it’s certainly not a noise that would be relaxing to hear on a long flight.
The best part of the video is the way the videographer managed to caption each moment perfectly. He titles the next section of the footage as, “Demonic screams take over the plane.”
And he is pretty accurate, considering the blood-curdling screams are right on time when his wording pops up on the screen. The noise sounds like it is coming from a wild animal or a monster, instead of a young child.
Believe it or not, it gets even worse as the video continues and a new caption shows up on the screen…
“Waiting to take off…this is where the meltdown gets demonic.”
At this point the child is trying to climb over the seat in front of him. The mom then tells the flight attendant that they need to get the WiFi going so they can get the iPad going before they have even taken off. By this point the kid is literally screaming at the top of his lungs as the mom talks to the flight attendant. And then, there is a break in the screaming, as the kid is unleashed and free to run around the plane.
But, one hour later and those demonic screams are back. It sounds as if he is trying to say something in between the screeches but it’s hard to make out. Meanwhile, the boy is running around the plane screaming and people are covering their ears. The scene is beyond chaotic, but it’s hard not to feel bad for the mom who is holding a small baby while all this is going on.
Commenters shared their thoughts on this particular toddler’s behavior…
“My two boys have been flying since they were 2&3. I never had to give them drugs or anything to be good on a plane or in public. They were just great kids. It’s called parenting. In that child’s case, someone really needed to suggest some Dramamine to hid ignorant mother. Because she was obviously oblivious to the fact that she was a rotten parent, and he was a spoiled brat.”
What would you have done if you were on this flight?
